Profsvar — welding carriages development, production and maintenance for semi-automatic and argon arc welding, oxy-fuel and plasma cutting. Using the equipment, Profsvar clients have managed to increase welding productivity by 1.5–4 times and achieve higher consistency and quality of seams. 

This project is a startup that my brother and I started in March 2016. In February 2017, the first welding carriage was sold. In 2021, Dmitry Maslakov, a close friend of mine, who worked on identity and branding, joined us. After 6 years of work, I can say that in the Russian market we are confidently competing with equipment from South Korea, Poland, Sweden, Canada, the USA, and China. I list the tasks that I solve in this project. Research of our product and products of competitors in the conditions of welding production. Architecture concept and layout of all product modules. Industrial Design. Selection, search and purchase of components. Technical documentation for production. Search, negotiations with partners who make parts for us, assemble electronics. Coordination of all stages of production. Statement of technical specifications for the development of electronics, circuit diagrams and software. Setting the task and coordinating the development of the site and visual materials.

Using our equipment, our clients have managed to: 
1. Increase welding productivity by 1.5–4 times. 
2. Achieve higher consistency and quality of seams.
3. Reduce post-welding rework time. 
4. Decrease welders’ health risks.
5. Reduce metal deformation. 
6. Cut down the negative effect of insufficient welder skills and the human factor aspect.

Profsvar’s product architecture concept is based on a modular design that allows you to quickly modify the carriage for various customer tasks.

Our equipment is: 
1 control unit with torch position support.
2 types of undercarriage: wheels or rail.
3 types of guide rollers. 
Guide rail (1.5 m and 2 m) with switchable magnets or vacuum suction cups. 
2 types of torch holders (with and without oscillation mechanism). 
Second torch holder with or without oscillation mechanism. 
Remote control

The product is operated in very harsh conditions: high temperature of the molten metal of the welding arc, welding spatter, dust, electromagnetic interference in the entire frequency range. I am proud that the equipment of the first customers has been operating for more than 5 years in such conditions.
